Although we've seen just a handful of truly innovative mechanisms within WoW cataclysm Gold Lich King, a few changes caught the eye of us. One of them is the emphasis on quests that don't require the participation of a group. They weren't a common feature in the Burning Crusade's beginning regions, but they seem to be more common in the present. There's a large number of quests that can be completed faster when you're part of group, however, most of them are able to be completed on your own without difficulties. Additionally, there's the new questing mechanic which has been mentioned before Chained Escort. In one case this involves hunting a baby dragon, harpooning it, and dragging it back for experimentation--another quest with a moral question mark over it, some may say.
Another example is the guard-snatching hunt. Another neat little twist is evident from the moment you walk into the quarry on the outside of Warsong Hold. The Nerubians have taken soldiers from the hold and made webs of webs around the soldiers. If you are able to free the soldiers and free the soldiers, you'll have an ally roughly of similar ability to you fighting together with you. They are mostly shamans, warriors, and mages however, their aid is temporary--once they pay their debts to you, they will return to their hold. Their massive numbers make it possible for a single person being supported by several computer-controlled companions while they fight off the Scourge infested.
The last one that reaches levels 80 contains a decayed, frozen eggs that are haunted. Wrath of the Lich King will be released later in the year.
Overall, we're impressed by the brand new content that we've seen from Wrath of the Lich King. It's varied and entertaining While there's nothing revolutionary about it The signs are positive for this early stage.
